Community Voices (Workshop in a Box - help shape the future of PIP, online)
Available from 2 July 2026
Thursday 2 July (11am-1pm)
Taking place via Google meet.
These workshops are for people who are:
- Receiving PIP
- Or have applied for PIP in the last three
About the workshop Last year, the UK government launched the Timms Review of Personal Independence Payment, led by a Steering Group chaired by the Minister for Social Security and Disability, Sir Stephen Timms.
The PIP Review Steering Group would now like to gather views from people with lived experience of claiming or receiving PIP. To support this, Parkinson’s UK is organising two interactive workshops for people with Parkinson’s and care partners to get your views on:
- What PIP is for
- What it is like to apply for PIP
- How decisions are made about PIP
To participate in this workshop, Parkinson’s UK will need to securely collect and store your personal information. Please see Parkinson’s UK’s privacy policy for further information.
You will also need to agree that Parkinson’s UK can share your anonymous views with the Steering Group and the Department for Work and Pensions via its digital portal. We will not share any personal information in this process. Once you register, we will send you further information about the workshop, the link and a short form to get your consent to share your views.
Please let us know if you are interested in attending by applying at your earliest convenience.
**Please note, these workshops are only for people receiving PIP or who have applied in the last 3 years. **
