Group Helper (Barnsley Branch)

Opportunity image

‘If you have some time (no matter how little), have a desire to learn about Parkinson's and keen to help people, then volunteering is so fulfilling - I am so glad I decided to volunteer for our local group - it has enriched me as a person, reignited my passion for learning and being creative, and generally allowed me to "give back" to a community who benefit from our support.’ Hazel, Support Group Helper, Reigate.

As a Support Group Helper like Hazel you will directly support people living with Parkinson’s.

At the Barnsley and District Branch, we are looking for volunteers to help with the general running of the group. This could be organising speakers at the monthly meetings, helping to set up the room, promoting the group to others or helping with teas and coffees.
