Event Host (Secret Supper - Birmingham)

Are you passionate about raising awareness about Parkinsons and want to help support our fundraising events? Are you chatty, confident and charming?

Could you spare a few hours to welcome, host and chat to others at one of our fundraising events?

We need volunteers to help us at the very special Secret Supper Event in Colmore Row, Birmingham on the Wednesday evening, 29 September (the Tuesday is full). Being an event host includes making people feel welcome, introducing them to others and the charity and being part of the event team.

The role of Event Host at the Secret Supper is key to the success of this event.
Hosts will meet and greet dinner guests for each course (in groups of around 16) at an agreed restaurant, sell raffle tickets and then reveal which restaurant they will be going to next.

(The event is over two nights, so you can do both nights if you would like to. You will receive a main course meal during the evening.)

As Event Host, your role will include:

• Greeting guests as they arrive and helping to get them seated
• Selling raffle tickets at the restaurant / assisting with auction
• Encouraging guests to talk, network and play ice breaker games
• Being responsible for the group of guests in your restaurant and ensure that the strict timings of the event are adhered to
• Answering any questions that guests / restaurant managers may have
• Ensuring anyone with Parkinson’s or walking difficulties are looked after and assisted
