Support Group Helper (Diss and Eye Support Group)
Parkinson's UK local groups offer friendship, support, and numerous activities for people affected by Parkinson's.
In Diss and Eye , the group is run by volunteers and is a core part of the local Parkinson's community. Joining as helper means you will be too.
There are various tasks which the group needs help with including:
- Helping set the room up for monthly meeting.
- Serving refreshments.
- Giving a warm welcome to group attendees, collecting money and taking register at the start of the meeting.
- Helping with refreshments at weekly 'Bat and Chat'
Or if you prefer a more admin type task
- Booking the speakers for the monthly meetings.
This role can be flexible and tweaked to suit the time you have to give. If you would like to make a difference in your local community please get in touch. Our staff and existing volunteers will be there to support you every step of the way.
